Emmbi Offers An Affordable Water Conservation Solution

Water scarcity is a major concern for several countries. Hence, water conservation efforts have grown significantly over the past few decades. While conservation is important for the survival of life on earth, it can be quite expensive and out of reach for a large number of people around the world. To tackle this problem, Emmbi has an affordable water conservation solution that not only has potential for large scale water conservation but is also more affordable than any of the conventional options available.

Pond Liners

One of the most affordable methods of water conservation is by building ponds. And for building a successful pond, having a pond liner is of utmost importance. Emmbi manufactures innovative HDPE pond liners based on two state-of-the-art innovative technologies – ProTex and Habitech. Also, installing the pond liners Emmbi manufactures is an easy task that requires minimum labour, unlike the rest of the process of building a pond.

ProTex is a nanotube based migration blocking technology that helps prolong the service life of the HDPE pond liners. The nanotubes form a dense layer of carbon on the surface of the liner, so that the exposed is not directly exposed to the sun rays, which would otherwise degenerate due to the chemical reaction on the geomembrane surface. Habitech, on the other hand, makes the pond liners much more friendly for aquatic life, reduces evaporation, and prevents seepage.

These innovative technologies, coupled with the large scale production facility of Emmbi, result in lower primary and maintenance costs. They also have a wide applicability, in both domestic and commercial use. This sheet of HDPE can be used as a large scale farm pond liner or even for a small backyard or garden pond. Also, HDPE is the best pond liner for sustainable living enthusiasts, as it is compatible with pond built in holistic systems like permaculture.

Geobags

Riverbank corrosion is one of the major causes for water pollution, and subsequently, the growing scarcity of water. In countries like India, where most of the states are dependent on rains and rivers for the fulfillment of the water needs, protecting the riverbanks is an extremely important task. Emmbi provides an affordable and conveniently applicable solution in this regard – the geobags.

These bags can be filled with soil, mud, and dirt, and can be stacked up on the banks of the rivers to prevent soil erosion. Placing bags on the edges keeps the water entering the land, keeping the soil of forests and plains intact. These bags also act as a barrier that helps animals access the rivers for drinking water without risk of slipping into it.

Likewise, these bags can also be used to build protection walls to mitigate floods, which cause the river water to overflow into the land and disappear within a couple of days. By building flood walls, we can arrest the water and channel it into a pond or other water bodies for future use. The best thing about this whole process is that it would cost only a fraction of the amount needed to build conventional flood protection structures.
