By Land
The nearest railway station to Silvassa is Vapi,which is about 17kms away from Silvassa.From here you can either hire a taxi or take a bus to Silvassa.
The best way to reach Silvassa from Mumbai is by road,which takes around 4 hours.The places covered during the journey from Mumbai to Silvassa are Mumbai – 48km -> Navghar – 60km ->Manor – 49km ->Talasari – 28km -> Silvassa.Several Hospitals,ATMs and fuel station like Hindustan Petroleum fall on the way.Rest stops and restuarants such as Shivam Sundaram Veg and Macchu Pichhu are also present on route.You can take a bus or taxi or even rent a car from the car rental companies at the airport.Cost of cab per kilometer ranges from INR 9 to 13,approximately,depending upon the type of car hired.

Seasons in Mumbai
Winter
Winter (November to February) is the best time to visit Mumbai as the weather remains cool and dry. The day temperatures remain pleasant in the range of 28°Cto 33°C. The minimum temperature drops down to 10°C. This time is perfect for sightseeing and other tourist activities.
Summer
Summer season (March to May) remains hot and humid with maximum temperature in higher thirties. The night temperatures come down and settle around mid-twenties. It is advisable to avoid the summer months for a vacation.
Monsoon
In Monsoons (June to September) good amount of showers are a regular affair for this season. Maximums drop to about 30°C and minimums hover in mid-twenties. Humidity remains high and traveling in Mumbai in this season becomes difficult due to rains.
Silvassa
Winter
Winter is the best time to visit. The season lasts from November to February, with temperatures very pleasant for outdoor activities. Apart from Holi, Navratras and Diwali, you can also participate in the Tarpa Festival in the month of December. Activities in Tarpa Festival include boating, a tattoo painting competition, swimming, and much more. It is the festival that highlights tribal culture and tradition. The Kite Festival in the month of January is another great attraction for the tourists.
Summer
Summer in Silvassa starts in March and lasts until May. The temperature ranges from 25 to 39 degrees centigrade, with May recording the highest temperatures. However, if you are used to touring in extreme temperatures then visiting Silvassa will not be a problem during this time of the year. You can enjoy The National Tribal Art and Food Festival in the month of May.
Monsoon
Monsoon lasts from June to August, with low rainfall due to the Western Ghats. Therefore, this is also pleasant time to visit Silvassa. This is also the time when you can participate in the Monsoon Magic Festival, which starts in June. Activities include Monsoon Cross Country Run, Monsoon Raga (musical concert), rain dance and Monsoon Moments.
