Hygiene Policy

We, at Emmbi Industries Limited applied thorough and comprehensive system of hygiene management. Processes of policy are Common to all employees of the company ensuring, everyone understand, agree and comply with them under actual operating conditions.

PERSONNEL PRACTICES

  • Employees & Visitors to not wearing jewellery such as necklace, bangles, earrings, wristwatches etc. inside the production area, with the exception of plain wedding ring.
  • Employees to keep nails small and clean.
  • Employees clothing is required to be clean for starting of each workday. Protective apron must be laundered twice a week (every 3rd day).
  • Employees & Visitors to keep personal belongings in the lockers before entering the production area.
  • Employees & visitors must wash hands with soap and dry with self-operated hand dryer and use hand sanitizer before entering the production area. Same protocol must be followed at every re-entry including situations returning from the toilets, lunch, snacks or any other break.
  • Employees & Visitors are restricted to use Tobacco, Pan-masala, Bidi, Cigarette, Chewing Gum, Chocolate, Mouth Fresheners and other such similar items in entire factory premises. Drugs or Medicines except in the First Aid Box are not permitted in the manufacturing facility.
  • Lunch boxes & drinking water bottles are not permitted in the production area. They must be kept in the Tiffin trolleys provided. Employees are permitted to have lunch in canteen only. Employees & Visitors must use the hair net, keep Moustaches properly trimmed, or Keep Moustaches & beard covered with mask.
  • Employees & Visitors must inform their respective HOD, HR Manager and Security Guard about any wounds, burns, cut etc. Also included are diseases like diarrhea, vomiting, Conjunctivitis, or any other Infections or Communicable Disease.

OPERATIONAL PRACTICES

  • Employees are restricted to use Scented perfumes, or certain cosmetics like Nail polish, false fingernails, and false eyelashes.
  • Employees & Visitors are restricted to bring any glass item, staple pins, U-pins or similar in the designated production area.
  • All bins other than dustbins or waste bins must be labeled and used only for their indented purposes.
  • Spitting in the factory campus is prohibited.
  • To use only wipers & mops for cleaning the floor and use of broom is prohibited.
  • To keep the door of the production facility always closed.
  • To never consider a job finished until the surrounding area is cleaned up and checked.
  • Pallets to be inspected for cleanliness before stacking. Use of dirty or broken pallets is not allowed. Only plastic pallets to be used in production areas. Wooden pallets are only allowed in Finished Goods Storage area. To not use cardboards in the designated production area.
  • Area to be cleaned after every maintenance work. All supplies and debris to be removed. Tools shall not be placed on machines, floors or on equipment’s. Tape, glue or other miscellaneous material shall not be used for temporary repair, permanent repair should be made.
  • Raw materials and packaging material to be returned to their designated location and store neatly assuring that openings are closed.
  • Floor and wall junctions to be kept clear at all times. Ensure that no manufacturing material in process touches the floor or walls directly.

Good Housekeeping is a very important part of GMP. All employees are responsible and encouraged for keeping their work areas clean. Non-food contact surfaces of equipment used in the operation of packaging plants should be cleaned as frequently as necessary to minimize the accumulation of dust, dirt, food, particles and other debris.
