Ms. Maithili Appalwar, CEO, Avana, was the Keynote Speaker at Sakal’s Women’s Day event held on 6th March, 2020. Ms. Maithili was invited to share her insights on being a woman leader in a male-dominated industry. Her talk was attended by over 300 Sakal journalists from across Maharashtra.
Awards & Appreciation Ms. Maithili Appalwar, CEO, Avana, received the “Phoenix Leading Lady” Award for Business Excellence on 4th March, 2020. This award, hosted by Phoenix Market City and Terragni Consulting, is awarded to 12 women who have shown significant achievement in Sports, Performing Arts, Social Change or Business. Emmbi was awarded under India’s Top MSMEs, by Shri Nitin Gadkari ji, Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) who inaugurated the MSME Day 2019 celebrations. On the occasion of NSE’s Silver Juiblee and as a token of gratitude, Emmbi was presented with a memento by NSE. Avana, a for-profit B2C division at Emmbi was the winner of two prestigious awards for its innovative water conservation idea. Emmbi was Awarded “Most Innovative SME of the Year” at the 10th Emerging India Awards, 2018 hosted by ICICI Bank and CNBC TV18. The Award was received by Mr. Makrand Appalwar, CMD and Mrs. Rinku Appalwar, Executive Director & CFO of the Company. Emmbi was Awarded the “IPF Industrial Excellence Award” in the category Fastest Growing Manufacturing Company under the Plastic, Paper and Packaging Segment. Emmbi was Awarded the “SME Business Excellence Awards, 2016” in Mid-Corporate sector under the Plastics and Plastics category by D&B & RBL Bank SME Business Excellence Awards, 2016. The Award was received by Mr. Makrand Appalwar, CMD and Mrs. Rinku Appalwar, Executive Director & CFO of the Company. Emmbi was selected among the Top 20 Shining Stars of the Indian Sector by the WASME Super Awards 2016. Mr. Makrand Appalwar, CMD, of the Company received the award from Shri. Kalraj Mishra, Union Minister of MSME. Emmbi received the Prestigious Award for “Most Promising Manufacturing Brand” for Polyethylene, Woven Fabric Sacks in India 2015”. The award was initiated by 24 MRC Network in association with Bloomberg TV India. The prestigious “Leading Woman in Manufacturing” Award was presented to Mrs. Rinku Appalwar, Executive Director & CFO of the Company by Women Leaders in India & Awards 2015. Emmbi was Awarded “India SME 100 Award”. The Award was received by Mrs. Rinku Appalwar, Executive Director & CFO of the Company and was presented by Hon’ble Suresh Prabhu, Union Minister of Railways and Ms. Shikha Sharma, MD & CEO of Axis Bank. The prestigious “Leading Women Entrepreneur in SME” Award was presented to Mrs. Rinku Appalwar, Executive Director & CFO of the Company by Women Leaders in India & Awards 2014. Emmbi was recognised as one of the most Innovative Companies at the ‘Innovative 100’ Awards 2013 hosted by Inc. India magazine. Emmbi received this award for bringing about technological innovations in its products. Mrs. Rinku Appalwar Executive Director-and CFO of the Company received the Inc.
